Mistral Anampa is the founder and CEO of DC Nation Tours & Travel, a woman-led company built on the belief that travel can transform lives—both for those who journey and for the communities they touch. A CDL-licensed transportation professional, certified bilingual tourist guide, travel advisor, human rights consultant, and mother, Mistral leads with heart, courage, and lived experience.
Her path bridges worlds: driver and guide, logistics and storytelling, movement and meaning. Trained by international tourism experts licensed by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) and deeply engaged in the global guiding community, she weaves human rights awareness, cultural respect, and empathy into every experience. These values are not taught from a script—they are lived, shared, and felt during each tour.
Through the Mistral Bridge Foundation, a portion of every journey becomes a bridge to something greater. Travelers are invited to Traveling With Purpose, knowing their experience supports youth empowerment, community development, and global impact initiatives. Greetings, my name is Mistral Anampa. I am the sole owner and founder of both DC Nation Transportation founded in 2010 and DC Nation Guided Tours founded in 2016. I have strategized and managed the continuous business growth of my companies since their inception.
I am an entrepreneur and creative Washington, DC bilingual (English/Spanish) tour director & transportation manager. I was born In Peru and moved to the USA in 2007 at age of 19.

I dearly love hospitality and I found my purpose in life which is to serve with my knowledge, experience, creativity, enjoyment, love and understanding my guest priorities and expectations.
DC Nation Guided Tours believes that our guests’ safety and comfort is our number one priority. Our motor coaches are fully equipped with safety equipment, hand sanitizer, disposable masks, ponchos, cold bottled water, and individually wrapped snacks.
We use modern technology which supports an independent travel experience. Our transponder and earpiece technology allows our guests to enjoy our commentary delivered directly to each guest. It is a more private and exclusive experience providing greater access to the guide’s commentary. There is no need for shouting or gathering closely. Our guests have more freedom to experience the historic sites you visit.
DC Nation Tours offers a differentiated experience in several ways. In our night tours we incorporated LED bracelets that allow our guests to identify their groups without getting lost or left behind. We are welcoming, safe, and our great teamwork will ensure that the tour experience is in keeping with our high customer care standards from booking until the end of the tour. Our guides are trained in interpretive guiding and are passionate about the Washington, DC discovery that awaits our guests.
Our tours are fun and factual. We add humor, intrigue, and stories that inspire. We visually explore each site. We use tangible objects to explore intangible meanings and feelings. We go beyond the historical facts and provoke curiosity by revealing the hidden stories and the fascinating connections between the past, present and future. This cultural experience provides wonderful pictures and videos. We strive to evoke ideas and values tha vao will continue to inspire our guests throughout their lives.
